(さら) is an adverb that means “furthermore”, “in addition”, “even more”, or “on top of that”. It’s often used to add emphasis or to introduce additional information, actions, or degrees.

Usage Examples

  1. Addition / Furthermore

    • この商品(しょうひん)(やす)くて、さらに品質(ひんしつ)()い (This product is cheap, and moreover, the quality is good)
  2. Intensification / Even more

    • 気温(きおん)さらに()がった (The temperature dropped even more)
  3. Progression

    • 勉強(べんきょう)(つづ)け、さらにレベルアップを目指(めざ)す (I will continue studying and aim to level up further)
