Trying it out with 〜てみる
Grammar: Intention » 〜てみる
When used as a helper auxiliary verb, 見る indicates trying something to see what it’s like to do, or what happens when it’s done. It appends to a verb in its て form and is often written as みる.
Examples
Try going with 〜てみる

Cocoa tried wearing Chino’s middle school uniform. (This is equivalent to “tried on” in English.)
- ココア:
- 「じゃーんチノちゃんの制服着てみたよ!」
Trying making a bet with 〜てみる

Chiya suggests since she and Chino are going to play a game of chess together, why not make a bet on it?
- 千夜:
- 「せっかくだし何か賭けてみない?」
Trying to do latte art with 〜てみる

Rize asks if Cocoa would like to try out doing latte art.
