Neighboring area with 近隣

近隣(きんりん) describes a nearby place. Specifically, it refers to an adjacent area or neighborhood.

The word 近隣(きんりん) is used when referring to places where people live, such as a town, a city, or a county, and it can refer to land (such as neighboring country), a building (a neighborhood store), a house (an adjacent house), or a person (the neighbor living in an adjacent house; people living within a neighborhood block).

Example uses of this include:

近隣(きんりん) is more of a literary expression, so it is less likely to be seen in manga.
